To Book Blog or Not

November 3, 2012

I’ve been thinking of starting up a book blog, you know, for all those books I have read and for all the books I have yet to read.

I have more than 2000 books stored on my library manager. That’s not including the ones that I have on paper. Out of that 2000, I don’t think I only read about 500.

That’s why I got this crazy idea to start a new book blog under a different subdomain. Maybe something like books.ishabelle.com.

OR…..

I could just use this blog as a place to post the books I have already read… Yeah…. Well, I am still debating on that.

I could even just use a WordPress.com hosted site instead of using my domain. But what’s the use of a domain if you still keep using free hosted services, right?

Sigh! This book blog thing has really gotten me confused. I’ll probably just sleep on this for a night or two. I hope I do get a final decision before the new week starts. xoxo.

Who Else?

September 22, 2010

Somebody Googled me today. I know that because somehow, the person who Googled me ended up in my blog. Thank God for WordPress site stats. I know that one of my blogs visitors came to my blog by Googling my name out.

If only I’d know who that person is. If only I’d know why he was Googling me up. Hopefully, it’s not something negative. I just hope that whatever that person is up to, it’s not about getting me into deep shit.

I have been trying to write a poem since Monday. However, I have been too busy with work to ever finish what I’ve started. I hope that I get to finish the poem today. I am excited to post it. I’ll be ending this blog entry now, so I can get back to writing that poem. TTFN. xoxo

Rebirth

August 31, 2010

After a month long hiatus, I am back in my WP blog again. I miss the friends that I have met here. Blogging is just not fun when you don’t have friends to share things with. I have always loved this blog, which is why I have kept this even when I was not posting anything new here.

It is just very unfortunate that I had to take a time off for the past weeks. During the first week of July, I bought the domain for my poetry website called Poetry and Ice Cream. Because that said had a paid domain, I had to focus on establishing it and making sure it got the publicity and online presence it needed.

I am very thankful for the friends I have who have really shown support in visiting the website. I also even made a Facebook page for Poetry and Ice Cream. However, I am not just a poet. I am also a blogger, and I am someone who loves to share things to the world. This is why I am here again. I am looking forward to connecting with old friends. I hope they still remember me, though.

TTFN… See you all tomorrow. xoxo

Gracias

June 8, 2010

I am really glad because there are people that I have met here in WP that I would not have met any other way. I am glad for their friendship. They welcomed me into a community where I can express my most poetic side. They have been very avid supporters. That is also why I am such a supporter of their works and their blogs. Because they have been so nice to me from the very beginning, I would like to give them this token of appreciation. I hope that they get to see this. I also hope this brightens up their day, one way or another.

Chocolate High – The History

April 14, 2010

When I started blogging, I always used the blog title “Heaven on Earth.” Even when I have transferred from one blog host to another, I kept using that title. However, when I started my WP blog, I realized I wanted to use something that had meaning to me.

I did not want to just use the default “Ishabelle’s blog” because it did not really define me at all. I love the thought of ownership, but I wanted my blog to not only show ownership but personality and relevance.

It was then that I remembered my favorite song, Chocolate High. The song is a collaboration by India Arie and Musiq Soulchild, two of the most talented contemporary RNB musicians that I know. I decided then to use the song title as my blog title.

I hope that I am not violating any copyright rules, since the phrase is actually common already. This may be the first that it was used as a blog, though.

I am so glad I decided to be different this time. My blog has never meant as much to me as it does now. Also, I find that I have never enjoyed blogging so much until I started this blog. I am really going to keep blogging until I am old, and I don’t have readers anymore. 🙂

April 11

April 11, 2010

I just sent my 15 nominees in jingle’s blog today.

I apologize if I was not able to include all of my poet friends there. At first I thought that 15 would be too much, and I would only be able to nominate less than that. As it turns out, 15 proved to be too little if I wanted to honor all of my poet friends here in WP and even in Blogspot.

I hope that everybody gets to have a good time with this Celebration. Jingle has been kind and thoughtful enough to organize these kinds of activities for bloggers. It has really made us all come together.

Happy Sunday to all of you, my beloved friends. I am so lucky to have you in my world. *wink* xoxo
