Shape Up

July 5, 2010

I’ve been pretty busy trying to put all my poems into the new website. The fact that I’ve written so many over the past years make the task at hand seem more tiresome. Over one hundred poems have been written on paper, so I have to encode them just to post them to the site. At least I have about a hundred as well that’s already published virtually, so I won’t have any problems with them anymore. I’m starting out with the poems I wrote from high school through college. When I’m done with all of them, I will post all the new ones, so they get read more. I’m a little more proud of the new ones because I feel like they have more depth than the ones I wrote when I was younger.

It might be a little difficult handling two websites at the same time, which is why the second website will strictly be just for poetry. By the way, I would totally welcome guest posts, if someone feels like volunteering, although the site’s not that trafficked yet to be offering guest postings at the moment. However, that’s a concept I would really love to entertain, now, or in the future. I wonder how it’s going to help the website to have other people write for it as well.

Weekends are always hard because they are never enough. Somehow, no matter how long the weekend is, it always feels short. Its always over before I’m even ready to say goodbye to it. I guess that’s what everybody else feels about weekends. I hope you guys will be as supportive of my second website as you have been with me here. That domain was really paid for, so I am really hoping to keep that place as active as I can. Of course, I am never going to live this place too. This is just where I can rant and rave without being afraid. I’ll see you again tomorrow, folks. Good nighty!!!!

FYI…

July 3, 2010

I am inviting everybody to my new website, Poetry and Ice Cream. I will still keep this WordPress site as a personal blog. However, moving forward, I will post all poetry in my new site. It’s still technically under construction for now. It may take week, even months, to complete the transfer of all the poems I have ever written. I hope you will be patient and bear with me for now.

Let’s all still keep up with each other from here. I have already made a lot of friends on this website, which is why I am keeping this still as my primary blog.I hope to see you on the other website. Let’s have fun there too. *wink*

The Day Before Saturday

February 12, 2010

I love Fridays. It’s a sign that all the work you’ve buried yourself in for the past few days are about to end. Finally, you can have two very peaceful days, doing what you want to do. At least, that’s what Fridays mean for me. My job only requires for me to work five days a week, and for that, I am so thankful.

Today, I want to thank my friend, Jerome Ochia for having composed a song out of my poems. If you’ve read my blog, you can check the poems Revisited and Heart. He was able to create a melody for the poems. He let me hear his work yesterday. I want to commend him for his exceptional talent. When I wrote those poems, turning them into a song was the farthest from my mind. But through his talent, he was able to create a melody.

I had a lot of fun reading and commenting on poems for yesterday’s rally. I’m really glad I joined again this week. It is always amazing how much talent you can find over the internet. I’m glad I came across all these people. I am ending today’s post by wishing the best for everybody. I’m pretty sure I’d still post somethig later on, but for now, let’s all have a relaxing Friday with the promise of a great weekend. :-*

Friday Madness

February 5, 2010

Yesterday was such a fun filled “blogging day” for me. The Thursday Poets’ Rally was really great. I was able to read amazing works of poetry. I met great people who appreciated good words as much as I did.

To balance things out, I think I’ll just keep it quiet today, if I can do so. I’ll just check on blogs and leave a comment or two. However, I am proud to present my newest page. You can check it out by clicking on this link. You may also check my homepage. On the “Pages” part, you should see there the one that’s called “I Wrote These Poems”.

I hope you do check it out. Leave a comment or a rating if you have something to say. I want to thank all the followers of this blog. For the short time that I have been here in WP, I have already met a lot of really talented people. I am very happy to be blogging here. 🙂

New Website

January 22, 2010

I have had a Multiply account since 2004. I’ve invested much time in it. I’ve posted so many albums there. I have shared so many thoughts on my blog. I have connected with so many friends from there. That account has become a huge part of my life.

But my life has gone through so many changes. I’ve since searched for my soul, for my place, for that special part of this world that I fit in. I’ve been through so many life-changing experiences. This is why I feel like it’s now time to say goodbye to my old Multiply account.

For blogging, I’m so satisfied with WordPress. Everything about being a good blogger, I already get from here. For social networking, well, I’ll always have Facebook. But I still feel the need to own my own website. I want to upload unlimited pictures and music. I want to share my life even to those who are not part of my social network. So I dedcided to open a new Multiply account.

Yes, I am saying goodbye to http://ishathebeautiful.multiply.com…. So much has been given to this site. But I am also saying hello to http://ishabellemanalo.multiply.com….. I am so excited to start working on  my new site. I hope you will also visit my Multiply site. Have a great day, my dear friends! 🙂
