Sunny Days

September 22, 2014

I’ve had a full day today, a really good day spent with the greatest friends any person can have.

People have often said that to have one friend for life is already a blessing. Well, consider me super blessed because I don’t just have one really great friend, I have several.

I spent lunch until the late afternoon hours with my ACE team friends. They are the bestest (if there ever was a word) people in the world. Everytime I hang out with them, I always have the best time. And yes, everytime we come together, all we ever do is talk.

Still, there’s something that could be said about people you connect with in an unexplainable level. I won’t say we are of the same wavelength because, hello, we’re definitely not.

I could never belong to the same wavelength as Marie, whose knowledge and experience as a professional trainer is beyond words. I love how I learn so many things from all her stories. And even those things I already know about, I still appreciate it coming from her because it means that I, at least, know something that someone like her also knows. She is so fun to be around. Even her subtle jabs don’t feel like jabs at all.

And then there’s Tessa, whose fierce sweetness is simply adorable. This girl who’s very brilliant in mathematics and follows the logical side of things is possibly the best kind of support system anyone can have. I’m not sure how many personal things she’s witnessed from every one of us, but yeah, she’s always a witness, always present, always stable.

There’ also Coleen, that sporty chick who can probably outrun all of our partners. Well traveled and well-read, she can also sing the high notes effortlessly. When I was new to the ACE team, I remember people saying that she was strict, intimidating and difficult to please. Boy, am I glad I got to her good side. She’s this loyal little princess who knows a little of evey freaking thing there is.

And our resident nice guy, Jayjay, who we all hope will find the love of his life and live happily ever after. All nice guys always get that, after all. This nice guy was blind to all our monkey business when he was our boss. Thank God for that. But he has since made up for his naivete regarding our secrets and dark sides.

Let’s not forget Janice, the one person we all make fun of because, well, she likes to make fun of herself too. But we all love her that way. Easily the prettiest out of all of us. And yes, my man, Jeffrey, is completely besotted with her. Lol.

Lastly, there are the partners. Come to think of it, since we all met, I think I’m the only one who hasn’t changed partners at all. It’s amazing to realize we’ve already known each other for quite some time now, considering we’ve seen partners come and go, new partners replacing the old ones in our tight little circle.

These are the only people I’d trust to talk about me behind my back. I trust them because I know that even if they talk about me, they’re not doing it maliciously or with the intent of making me look bad to other people. It’s just that as friends, we all know our strengths and weaknesses, and we all accept each other in spite of all those.

The day I joined the ACE team was a really lucky day for me because it led me to this path of having them as friends. Even to this day, when we all have different work lives, we still manage to come together every now and then. I’m absolutely blessed to have these people in my life.

Clashes

October 12, 2012

There are people in your life you will remember for always. You may never see each other again, but you know that these people have greatly impacted the person you have become.

I have so many people to thank the Lord for. As hard as life has been, I think I’d gladly go through all of the hardships again, if it meant I’d still end up where I am now.

I will always be thankful for the friends I have made along the way. I will also remember those people who have become a huge part of my life, even if it was only for a moment.

To my friends, thank you. To my family, lots of love. To God, you have my life.

Let’s celebrate happiness!!!

Monday Monday

September 20, 2010

One of my good friends arrived today. After more than three months working on a cruise ship, he is now on a month long rest. The point of this blog today is that I am so thankful I don’t have to work so far away. Yes, I know that they get to earn so much more than anyone could ever earn by staying here in the Philippines. However, money is not important for me. I don’t care if I live just above the poverty line. I would be satisfied with that kind of life, just as long as I’m healthy and the people I care about are healthy too.

I am not saying that my friends who want to have a better life should also be satisfied with what they have. We all have our own dreams. Mine just happens to be simple. I salute those who work so hard to improve their ways of living. I am just so glad that I do not have to go through the same hardship.

By the way, I want to thank all those who supported Jingle Poetry yesterday for Sunday’s Poetry News Flash. I am looking forward to another week of wiresome work and challenging obstacles.

Rebirth

August 31, 2010

After a month long hiatus, I am back in my WP blog again. I miss the friends that I have met here. Blogging is just not fun when you don’t have friends to share things with. I have always loved this blog, which is why I have kept this even when I was not posting anything new here.

It is just very unfortunate that I had to take a time off for the past weeks. During the first week of July, I bought the domain for my poetry website called Poetry and Ice Cream. Because that said had a paid domain, I had to focus on establishing it and making sure it got the publicity and online presence it needed.

I am very thankful for the friends I have who have really shown support in visiting the website. I also even made a Facebook page for Poetry and Ice Cream. However, I am not just a poet. I am also a blogger, and I am someone who loves to share things to the world. This is why I am here again. I am looking forward to connecting with old friends. I hope they still remember me, though.

TTFN… See you all tomorrow. xoxo

Another Award

July 6, 2010

Poet of MayWriting poetry is such a pleasure, especially if you belong to a community of very supportive people who write just as much poetic masterpieces as I do. There has been a number of awards that have been showered upon this blog. However, I still appreciate every single award that I continue to receive. The award I want to post today is for the Celebrate the Poet of May Awards that is still organized by the ever hardworking Jingle.

Once again, this person has made such a big difference in the lives of so many poet bloggers who continue to excel in their craft. Thanks again, Jingle. You’re efforts are never unappreciated and are always valued and cherished.

FYI…

July 3, 2010

I am inviting everybody to my new website, Poetry and Ice Cream. I will still keep this WordPress site as a personal blog. However, moving forward, I will post all poetry in my new site. It’s still technically under construction for now. It may take week, even months, to complete the transfer of all the poems I have ever written. I hope you will be patient and bear with me for now.

Let’s all still keep up with each other from here. I have already made a lot of friends on this website, which is why I am keeping this still as my primary blog.I hope to see you on the other website. Let’s have fun there too. *wink*

Gracias

June 8, 2010

I am really glad because there are people that I have met here in WP that I would not have met any other way. I am glad for their friendship. They welcomed me into a community where I can express my most poetic side. They have been very avid supporters. That is also why I am such a supporter of their works and their blogs. Because they have been so nice to me from the very beginning, I would like to give them this token of appreciation. I hope that they get to see this. I also hope this brightens up their day, one way or another.

Marie and Coleen

April 25, 2010

April is almost over. Before we say goodbye to this hot month, I want to greet two of my closest friends on their birthday. Marie and Coleen. Marie celebrated her birthday April 13. Coleen, on the other hand, is celebrating her happy day today.

These two girls have taught me so much when we still used to work together. I absolutely miss their company and the affectionate banter. I would not have stayed in TeleTech as long as I had not met two such wonderful friends (as I said, I am lucky when it comes to friends).

Belated Happy Birthday Marie, and Happy Birthday, Coleen!!!!! 🙂

Perfect Poet Acceptance

April 23, 2010

I wanted to post this together with my poem. However, I wanted my friends to just read the poem, without getting any explanation or introduction. I want them to just read the poem and decide for themselves what it was about, what the emotions were about. I wanted to leave them feeling the same thing as the person in the poem felt. If I was able to do that, then I am happy.

I still have obligations to fulfill, though, for my Thursday friends. Kokot was kind enough to nominate me as a perfect poet last week. It is my responsibility to pass it on to one poet this week, so that poet can celebrate the same happiness that I have now.

Here is my nomination, then:

I nominate Adam Dustus

I am sure that a lot of people will definitely agree with my nomination. Have fun, folks. This is the reason why we blog and write poems, right? xoxo

Cool…

April 18, 2010

I want to congratulate my friend, Coleen Digman, for being a Wikipedia contributor. Aside from that, she is actively participating in marathons and runs for different causes.

I would absolutely love to be writing for Wikipedia or About.com. However, I don’t think I have the patience to become a better writer, so I can write good enough things for them. However, I am really proud of my friend, and I am happy for her. It is nice to be doing things that are not just for your personal accomplishment. It is also nice to have friends like her, intelligent, driven, and successful.

I guess I’m really just blessed when it comes to friends. Thank GOD for that! 🙂

I hope you guys out there are also lucky with your friends. If you are, take the time to reach them today and tell them how thankful you are for their friendship…. 🙂 xoxo
