The Yummiest Things You Can Do With Chocolate

February 16, 2010

It’s two days after Valentine’s now. Maybe this is the best time for me to post these pictures. I love chocolates. Well, second only to ice cream, in fact. I can eat them forever, if they were the only food left on earth. I was scouring the internet a coupld of days back when I came across these pictures of delectably tempting chocolates. This inspired me to post a blog entry about chocolates. The pictures are courtesy of Every Stock Photo. You may click on the name of the website if you want to be redirected there. 🙂 I hope you folks enjoy! 🙂 I also hope you like the poem I wrote for this… 🙂 xoxo

If I had more than one heart, I’d give all of them to you

And even if I’d have four more, you’d still have them too

I’d give you the whole damn thing and everything

Because there’s just no running away from this feeling

You can take my chocolates, and I’d gladly hand them out

Because more than just chocolates, you are someone I couldn’t live without… ♥♥♥

ABC Poem

February 8, 2010

This is my attempt at writing an ABC poem. I am not really sure if I got it right, but here it is anyway. If you like it, then I am really glad that you did. If you think I should revise it, I would appreciate your suggestions. Constructive criticism is very helpful, you know. 🙂 Anyway, I hope you have fun with this. 🙂

For a full list of the other types of poetry that I’ve already tried writing, please click on this link. From there, you will find out why I’m suddenly writing all these poetry. 🙂

The Cuddle

A hand to hold when I falter
Big arms to wrap me in when I shiver
Colorful rainbows and gardens in summer
Delicious raindrops and delightful laughter
These and more are what you are to me.

Quotes From 11 Minutes

January 14, 2010

I was browsing through my ebooks earlier today when I chanced upon Paulo Coelho’s book, 11 Minutes. I remember it took me a very long time to finish the book. It was unsual because I normally finish books in less than a day. It was more unual because I’ve always loved Coelho’s books and I never put them down once I start reading.

But this book was very different. For the first few pages, I was really bored. I felt like I’ve read better books before, and I was surprised that I wasn’t enjoying my favorite author at all. However, I kept the faith and read on. Coelho didn’t become my favorite author for no reason, so I kept telling myself that I will get to the part, eventually.

And I did. I did not even know I was already enjoying the book. All I knew was that I could not stop reading anymore, and I started taking notes of the lines that touched me the most. I realized then that this was one of the books I’d read over and over again.

For today, I would like to share the most unforgettable lines from 11 Minutes. These lines have a universal truth in them. At one point or another, we all experience the same things that were described in the novel. If, by any weird chance, you have read the book yet, then you should scour the internet fot an ebook, or head to your favorite bookstore and grab your own copy. You’re going to need it because this book is one that you will keep on reaching for whenever you feel the need to read about love, sex, and relationships.

1. Really important meetings are planned by the souls long before the bodies see each other.

2. Anyone who is in love is making love the whole time, even the they’re not.

3. The strongest love is the love that can demonstrate its fragility.

4. At every moment of our lives we all have one foot in a fairy tale and the other in the abyss.

5. Sometimes you get no second chance and that it’s best to accept the gifts the world offers you.

6. If I must be faithful to someone or something, then I have, first of all, to be faithful to myself.

7. It is not time that changes man, nor knowledge; the only thing that can change someone’s mind is love.

8. Humans can withstand a week without water, two weeks without food, many years of homelessness, but not loneliness. It is the worst of all tortures, the worst of all sufferings.

9. All my life, I thought of love as some kind of voluntary enslavement… Freedom only exists when love is present. The person who gives him or herself wholly, the person who feels freest, is the person who loves the most.

10. In love, no one can harm anyone else; we are each of us responsible for our own feelings and cannot blame someone else for what we feel.

11. No one loses anyone, because no one owns anyone. That is the true experience of freedom: having the most important thing in the world without owning it.

12. The great aim of every human being is to understand the meaning of total love. Love is not to be found in someone else, but in ourselves; we simply awaken it. But in order to do that, we need the other person. The universe only makes sense when we have someone to share our feelings with.

13. Profound desire, true desire is the desire to be close to someone.

14. What is real always finds a way of revealing itself.

15. The most important experiences a man can have are those that take him to the very limit; that is the only way we learn, because it requires all our courage.

16. When a teacher helps someone to discover something, the teacher always learns something new too.

17. Pain and suffering are used to justify the one thing that brings only joy: love.

18. I can choose either to be a victim of the world or an adventurer in search of treasure.  It’s all a question of how I view my life.

19. In all the languages in the world, there is the same proverb: ‘What the eyes don’t see, the heart doesn’t grieve over.’  Well, I say that there isn’t an ounce of truth in it.  The further off they are, the closer to the heart are all those feelings that we try to repress and forget.  If we’re in exile, we want to store away every tiny memory of our roots.  If we’re far from the person we love, everyone we pass in the street reminds us of them.

A Marriage of Hearts

January 4, 2010

I will always be thankful that I am also loved by the man I love. Most people cry over broken hearts and unrequited love. Most people go through the painful phase of moving on. I am one of the lucky ones because I am not going through that.

I won’t say my life was perfect. I have had more than my share of heartbreaks. I can say that I have shed more tears than most people. But I am just so thankful that the time has come when all my heartaches have ended because I have finally found what I have been seraching for my whole life.

Everybody wants to fall in love. Everybody wants to be loved. In time, love happens to everybody. Sometimes, we are just too impatient. At other times, we are too possessive. Sometimes, too, we become too jaded to even believe in miracles and magic. Yet even when the world may become so bleak and hopeless, love always finds a way to triumph over the tears and the pain.

I am loved. For that alone, I will be thanking God every single day. After all the rain, my sunshine has come. I do not regret having to go through all the hardships because in the end, I found so much happiness. I would gladly go through the same hardships if it meant living through the same bliss in another lifetime.

I am married, not by the law, but by my heart. It means that while he and I may not be officially bound by law and church, we have found the person that we will spend our lives with. I will no longer scour the world over for that “one” person because he is already mine, and he will always be mine.

I know that there will still be hurt and pain in store, but I am stronger now because I have found my strength. I am strong as an individual, but I am stronger now because I have someone who can also be strong with me. He loves me, not in the way that I want, but in the way that I deserve.

December 17, 2009

It’s been so long since I last felt like this.
You put both my heart and my soul at ease.
I have forgotten what loving felt like;
I have stopped hoping that lightning might strike
But you came in, and you changed everything.
You gave life and love a whole new meaning.

You’re the ray of hope when the world is bleak;
You give me strength when my spirit is weak
You’re the beacon of light in the darkness;
You chase away all of this world’s sadness
You are the laughter when the whole world cries.
You are the truth that uncovers all lies.

There is nothing in this world that will be
As dear to anyone as you are to me
There is nothing on earth I would not do
In the name of the love I feel for you
Because back then when the stars did not shine,
You came and gave me love I could call mine.

You’re the sun when the day is bright;
You’re the moon that shines in the night
You’re all the things I could ever hope for.
You’re every wish I could ever wish for
And when everything is done and the world is through,
All that will be left is the love I have for you.
