Another Award

Writing poetry is such a pleasure, especially if you belong to a community of very supportive people who write just as much poetic masterpieces as I do. There has been a number of awards that have been showered upon this blog. However, I still appreciate every single award that I continue to receive. The award I want to post today is for the Celebrate the Poet of May Awards that is still organized by the ever hardworking Jingle.

Once again, this person has made such a big difference in the lives of so many poet bloggers who continue to excel in their craft. Thanks again, Jingle. You’re efforts are never unappreciated and are always valued and cherished.

I am really glad because there are people that I have met here in WP that I would not have met any other way. I am glad for their friendship. They welcomed me into a community where I can express my most poetic side. They have been very avid supporters. That is also why I am such a supporter of their works and their blogs. Because they have been so nice to me from the very beginning, I would like to give them this token of appreciation. I hope that they get to see this. I also hope this brightens up their day, one way or another.

Friends Glitter

I just sent my 15 nominees in jingle’s blog today.

I apologize if I was not able to include all of my poet friends there. At first I thought that 15 would be too much, and I would only be able to nominate less than that. As it turns out, 15 proved to be too little if I wanted to honor all of my poet friends here in WP and even in Blogspot.

I hope that everybody gets to have a good time with this Celebration. Jingle has been kind and thoughtful enough to organize these kinds of activities for bloggers. It has really made us all come together.

A Promising Friday

The reception of my fellow bloggers and poets to my poem, High Altitudes, yesterday was very overwhelming. A lot of poets have commented on it. I am so glad that they liked what I wrote. As a poet, I just write because I have to express something. If people like or relate to what I express, that is just a bonus. This is why I am so happy right now. I am really thankful for their support.

I believe that we all beome better at what we do when we have people, friends, family, or strangers, who support us. Even the tinest bit of encouragement already goes a long way. To all the other poets, I salute you. You have shown dedication to your craft. It not an easy task to weave words together. But you have done it so beautifully. I will always be an avid supporter and fan of poets, especially the independent ones who do not necessarily write for money. Thank you, once again, for showing me your valued support.

Yesterday’s rally was so much fun. It would not have been possible without Jingle. Jingle has been the glue that keeps all of us together. I promise you all that I will not let efforts go to waste. Which is why I also primise that I will always support all the poets who have been so patient and dedicated. Kudos to all of us! 🙂 *wink*
