What can I ask for in my entire life
If not for no one else’s love but yours.
When all else leaves, you’re all I need to stay.
When things go wrong, I can still make it through
As long as you’re around to lift me up.
When clouds are here to chase the light away,
You stay as bright as any light could be.
I’ll never stop this feeling that I have;
I’m thankful that you came into my life

Blank Verses for a Non-Blank Life

All You
April 1, 2010I have to admit I did this poem with such haste, it feels so raw and unpolished. Anyway, I want to post this as my poem for today’s rally. I want to know how people will react to my poems if I write ones that are written in such a hurry. I know this may not be as tasteful as the others I’ve posted in the past, but I still wish you enjoy this. *wink* 🙂
All you could ever want
Is in front of you.
I am anything you want;
I am in front of you
All you could ever need,
I could give to you.
I can give all you need;
I’d give anything for you.
All you could long for
I would give to you only
All you could hope for
You’ll find in me only.
I want to be everything
That you could ever want,
Or possibly ever need,
What you long and hope for.
I will be…..

For Thursday
March 18, 2010This is my acceptance poem for this week’s Poets Rally. Thank you so much, Jingle. Words can never be enough to express how grateful we all are to you for bringing us all together. Please, let’s all visit Jingle’s blog. Please follow this link: http://jingleyanqiu.wordpress.com/2010/03/12/thursday-poets-rally-week-9-the-perfect-poet-award
I also wish to nominate John, the Traveling Poet, for next week’s Perfect Poet Award. I believe that John makes such a good poet because he also goes from one place to another. Not only does he create very good poems, he also makes very expressive pictures.
This now is my poem for this week:
For Jeffrey
I love you
So much that I can see
The whole world through your eyes
Everytime you look at me.
I love you
So much that my heart beats
The same time as yours does
Even when we’re not near.
I love you
So much that I could always smell
Your skin and your scent in my head
Things that I know so well.
I love you
So much that even an eternity
Is never enough for me to love you
With every moment in between.
I love you,
And there is no other way
I would want to live my life
But with you, every single day.
I love you,
And there is absolutely no one
Who could take your place because
For me, there’ll always be just one.
I love you,
And I awaken at your lightest touch.
You bring me back to the world.
You give me everything and so much.
I love you,
But it’s more than just that.
You are my life and my reason,
The one person that I was created for.

Found
March 11, 2010I want to apologize if the poem below may be a little confusing. I wrote this for today’s rally, and I hope you still enjoy this. Thank you so much for visiting… :)xoxo
Sometimes I avoid love songs
Because they only speak of beauty
Or the pain that, in their hearts, throbs
But a song that shows reality,
I have yet to find.
I read through the lyrics and I
sometimes do not find what it is I seek
I look for something like yours and mine
I guess writing about us will do the trick,
I have yet to find.
Our love is not the sunshine
That brightens each other’s day
No, we are but the sunset that glows golden
Warm nights that we haven’t spent cuddled close,
I have yet to find.
We do not bring each other springtime
That makes everything bright and beautiful
We are all the four seasons, bright or dark
A season of love and madness such as ours,
I have yet to find.
We are not the something new in life
That we always wanted and dreamed of
We are the familiar face, the familiar touch
We’ve been together even before the forever that
I have yet to find.
We are not one heart and one soul
Nor a pair of wings that fly together
We are two hearts that beat separately
But two hearts that beat with love such as ours,
I have yet to find.

High Altitudes
March 4, 2010I decided to write a short poem for today. I hope you guys still enjoy it.
Words aren’t any good right now;
Everything’s just emotions burning.
I have lost all sense of thought, somehow;
I can see them all leaving.
It’s all a sad and tragic fate
With nothing left to do but wait.
Nothing else left to feel but hate.
Why can’t anyone get it straight?
It’s all of no use, and my head aches;
I’ve got nothing else left to say.
Knowing this, my heart beats and breaks;
There’s no one to take these hurts away.
I would also like to pass on this award to the 12 poets listed below… Please check out their blogs as well. I assure you that you won’t regret it. These people have written great poetry as well. I am giving them this award for all the time and effort they have put into creating beautiful pieces of literature.

Three Tankas
February 25, 2010As a poet for today’s rally, I want to feature three Tankas. A Tanka is a Japanese type of poem. It consists of five lines. The first and the third lines have five syllables while the rest of the poem has seven. I have already tried Haiku, so I’m giving this a try as well. I hope you guys enjoy. 🙂
The Grave
The rose smells so sweet.
In her hands, so red, so lush.
But the tears that fall
Portray the sadness she feels,
Leaving the rose on his grave.
The Friend
A joyous flower,
Looking so clean and friendly,
Daisies look so cute.
I wish he’d give me daisies;
His friendship, I so cherish.
My Father
He gave me tulips
Because I was his baby.
He painted flowers
So beautiful to see and
Called them “Tulips for Isha”

Thursday, Poets, Poems. What More Can You Ask For?
February 18, 2010I am so happy because Jingle, a very talented and friendly poet, awarded me with this. Because of this award, I feel more encouraged to join the rally every Thursday (not that I didn’t like doing so before the award). Jingle has done an amazing job gathering poets together. Because of her, I have met great friends who give me a lot of encouragement with writing poetry. I have met great and talented poets that I have learned to respect.
You may click this link so that you can check the other nominees as well. You may also follow this link to check out Jingle’s blog: http://jingleyanqiu.wordpress.com
My poems for this week are Cinquains. This is my first try at this type of poetry, so I hope you forgive me if I need to brush up on it more. Enjoy! 🙂 Also, for the nomination, I have to nominate Beth because her poems and her prose always inspire me. I hope I would still get more chances to nominate other people next week, and the weeks after that… You may check out Beth’s blog by clicking on this link.
The Root of Happiness
Friends-
Treasured, loved.
Making life fun,
Hard to live without.
Happiness.
My Mother, The Golden
Mom,
So supportive.
She give lisght.
She is always there.
Gold.
The Addictive Factor
Love
Elusive, Deceptive.
Wanted and needed.
It’s like a drug.
Passion.

Seasons (A Collection of Six Haikus)
February 17, 2010I notice that a lot of people are fond of writing Haiku. I, on the other hand, write poems about love and, sometimes, society. I think I have written Some Haiku before, but I don’t know where those poems are. I decided to write a Haiku today, just for the fun of it. I came up with one poem, but I felt like one Haiku was not enough. If I can come up with a 20-line poem anytime, surely, a Haiku wouldn’t be so difficult, would it? I tried to write more, and I finally came up with six Haikus. Enjoy, friends! 🙂
Summer’s almost here.
Children are all out, playing,
Having fun each day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rainy days are gone.
The sun is shining brightly;
The sky is now clear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When leaves are golden,
The air is almost frozen.
Autumn has begun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I touch the cold ice
Falling from a cloudless sky,
This winter, so cold.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Flowers all blooming
So colorful, they all are
Everytime spring comes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let’s go to the beach
And roll in the fine white sand
Under the hot sun.
The Yummiest Things You Can Do With Chocolate
February 16, 2010It’s two days after Valentine’s now. Maybe this is the best time for me to post these pictures. I love chocolates. Well, second only to ice cream, in fact. I can eat them forever, if they were the only food left on earth. I was scouring the internet a coupld of days back when I came across these pictures of delectably tempting chocolates. This inspired me to post a blog entry about chocolates. The pictures are courtesy of Every Stock Photo. You may click on the name of the website if you want to be redirected there. 🙂 I hope you folks enjoy! 🙂 I also hope you like the poem I wrote for this… 🙂 xoxo
If I had more than one heart, I’d give all of them to you
And even if I’d have four more, you’d still have them too
I’d give you the whole damn thing and everything
Because there’s just no running away from this feeling
You can take my chocolates, and I’d gladly hand them out
Because more than just chocolates, you are someone I couldn’t live without… ♥♥♥
