From the End, Something New is Born

June 30, 2010

The end of innocence is always the beginning of adventure, even life. I always believe that until we find out and encounter the things that hurt us, we never fully understand what life is about.

Life isn't fair, and most of the time, it almost always hurts. Life brigs pain and suffering, broken hearts and broken dreams, failure and disappointment. However, unless we all experience the bad things in life, we will never know how wonderful life can be.

We spend a good time of our lives being sheltered, being protected, being nurtured. However, it is at the moment that we learn to stand on our own that we really understand the purpose of or existence. Life is beautiful. I've always believed that. Yes, I may have had issues with life and it's circumstances. But I've always wanted to be alive. I have always basked in the fact that I live. I want to always be alive.

I wasn't always like this you know. When I was younger, my world only consisted of a very small number of people, which is just my family. But now, I want to draw a larger circle around everyone else around me. I want to experience so much. There's just an endless list of things that I want to get out of life. I am REALLY alive, and it all began when I stopped being a child.

What I Like Most About My Job

June 29, 2010

What do I love about training? A lot. When I worked as a Language Coach, I thought that I probably had the best job for someone like me. That was until I started to work as a trainer. I then realized that there was still so much that I can learn and share to others. I love the fact that I am able to help out and support as many people as I can.

Yes, the responsibilities are not even greater, and I have to answer to so many situations. But I feel like I really am enjoying what I do now. Things are never perfect because there is still a thing or two that I would love to change if I could. But I also know that I would gladly endure the hard part because the good times that come with it are far more rewarding.

Care to Scream?

June 23, 2010

I love horror movies. Just earlier today, I watched the first installment of Scream. I never saw the full length of this movie until today. I used to stop watching a movie the moment I realize it’s not really that scary. I have to say I found it kind of bordering on comedy. Unlike most horror movies, it had a lot of light moments and funny scenes. It’s not something I would list down as my favorite, but I would watch it for as many times as I can. At least, I don’t get to sleep with obscene memories about gross scenes from the movie.

My friend, Jingle, is not calling up a rally this week. I will still try to post a poem tomorrow, to keep the tradition alive. Even if there’s no official rally, I want her to see how much I value the efforts she is doing for me and the rest of the bloggers that she has brought together. I hope she comes back online ASAP. Blogging and Thursdays won’t be the same without her.

My Favorite Things (In Haikus)

June 17, 2010

Poetry

Rhyming words that paint
A story that’s about love,
Life, or all things quaint.

Ice Cream

Soft, cold, and sweet,
Of many flavors to eat,
Like a child’s heaven.

The Color Blue

I think of the sky.
So tranquil, peaceful, calm,
Like the salty beach.

Chocolate

Lift me up, dark one
Make my mood a better one.
I could eat for hours.

I am a perfect poet for this week. Thank you so much for the nomination. It really gives me such pleasure to write for the rally every week. My nomination for the Perfect Poet this week goes to Viola. Her poetry is a great example of a poetry that reflects what kind of person the poet is. It reflects her life and her values. She really deserves my nomination.

Diary-like

June 13, 2010

Aside from doing a little freelance writing, I also do a little part time virtual assistant jobs. I usually earn around $3 an hour. The tasks are relatively easy, and they only require around 20 – 30 hours a week. Most of these tasks are done during the weekends. I like it because I get to stay at home, and still earn a little money on the side. I am trying to save up because I want to buy something, I still love being a trainer, and I still enjoy working as one. However, I am also having a lot of fun doing this part time thing.

One good thing I get out of it is that I learn a lot of new things, mostly technologically related. Also, I get to spend my weekends earning money, meaning I don’t have to go out a lot anymore. Tomorrow will be Monday again. I am told I will be handling a new training class. I hope all things will turn out well.
