High Altitudes

March 4, 2010

I decided to write a short poem for today. I hope you guys still enjoy it.

Words aren’t any good right now;
Everything’s just emotions burning.
I have lost all sense of thought, somehow;
I can see them all leaving.

It’s all a sad and tragic fate
With nothing left to do but wait.
Nothing else left to feel but hate.
Why can’t anyone get it straight?

It’s all of no use, and my head aches;
I’ve got nothing else left to say.
Knowing this, my heart beats and breaks;
There’s no one to take these hurts away.

I would also like to pass on this award to the 12 poets listed below… Please check out their blogs as well. I assure you that you won’t regret it. These people have written great poetry as well. I am giving them this award for all the time and effort they have put into creating beautiful pieces of literature.

  1. When words fail you, write a poem! 🙂

    • thanks for your comment, daniel… i agree, poetry makes you express things which are normally hard to say…

  2. Dearest Ishabelle,

    You are definitely one of my favorites!
    I love your poem, again, such raw passion
    and feelings that I can identify with.
    Words are meant to be understandable
    and I like that you keeps your words simple
    yet you make them means more by the way
    you use them.
    Kudos, Ishabelle.

  15. Poetry is birthed in all of our emotions and thoughts, our experiences, and you alone have a unique voice and story to share … no matter what your journey through each day brings, something is worthwhile in your creativity, even if that means being silent for a time, to feel, to go through in order to find your way back to who you are … and in that, perhaps, you find something to share. Keep writing!!
